Dear Jeff,

I am a full-time employee of the State of Utah. I have rarely used any sick-leave and expected to have the health benefits when I retire.

You are a part-time employee of the State of Utah. Will you get a retirement and health benefits for your part-time employment?

Have you ever served in the military? If you did, when and where did you serve and what was your rank?

Because you for voted for HB213 it is apparent that you are completely out of touch with reality.

I will do my best to help you find a different part-time job in the next election.

Best regards,

Jeff! Thanks for this web-site. I'm glad you have defeated Hate Crimes bill once more. It is feel-good legislation that only generates contention. The Deseret News report on this was 95% in favor of the bill. Very biased reporting!
Why didn't the legislature take the tax off banks? That would be a great way to go. Credit Unions would look silly opposing it. I like HJR 1.
Keep up the good work. I think working with the governor will turn out well.
We need tuition vouchers. Fight hard for them!
Best personal regards. Col. A. L. Wright

I urge your support of HB 259 - Adoption Amendments. The main thrust of this legislation is that it would requre that all birth mothers planning to place their child for adoption be offered the option of counseling either before the placment or after the placement to help her through this most difficult process. The bill provides that those offering the counseling would be required to have a minimimum amount experience working with adoption issues professionally. Having worked in adoption for a almost 35 year, I feel that some birth mothers are emotionally left hanging with no one to help them make an informed decison before the placement or assist them with the inevitable grieving process after placement. Your support would be appreciated.

Unless it has been amended since I last looked at it, I have serious reservations about HB 202 -Child Welfare Amendments. I believe that a lot of abused children will never receive the protection the present law provides for if the criteria for reporting is changed as originally propoesed. I urge your vote against this measure.

Thanks,
Tom Baxter
